Internet Sales Professionals

Description
Responds immediately and effectively by telephone and email to all Internet-based vehicle inquiries that come to the dealership. Your goal is to initiate contact with the lead by phone, sell an appointment, meet with the individual and sell a new or used vehicle and related products while achieving predetermined levels of profitability and customer satisfaction with the buying experience.

Primary Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the dealer's Internet sales processes and be accountable for maximum performance
- Sell new and used cars and trucks and related products to Internet-based prospects
- Initiate contact with 50%-85% of unique leads received, by phone, and send customized emails in under 30 minutes
- Follow pre-defined schedule of follow-up for all prospects
- Generate appointments with 25%-30% of Internet prospects by building rapport over the telephone, and strive to maintain a minimum of a 50%-70% appointment show ratio
- Meet with all Internet prospects and close 50% or more of the prospects that show for appointments
- Improve the Internet sales performance of the dealership by meeting regularly with management personnel and eCommerce Director
- Utilize vehicle research and selling tools to help prospects move quickly through the car shopping/research process
- Monitor and track performance of dealership Internet Sales and analyze key reports to ensure ratios and objectives are continually on target
- Develop an expert level use of lead management tool to maximize prospect communications and sales
- Understand that the heart of Internet sales success is the telephone
- Know that you must sell the appointment FIRST before you can sell a car
