A Message from Len Stoler Regarding COVID-19

A Message from Len Stoler Regarding COVID-19 | Len Stoler Auto Group Store Banner Featuring all Store Logos

By now, you've surely noticed the increase in media coverage surrounding the global spread of the coronavirus.   We want to assure you that we continue to monitor the situation, and our focus remains on the health and welfare of our associates and our customers.

Here's what we know: The symptoms of COVID-19 are similar to the flu with fever, coughing and shortness of breath. It appears to mainly be spread through close person-to-person contact. It may be possible for someone to touch a surface or object with the virus on it and then touch their nose or mouth and become infected, but this is not the main way the virus spreads, according to CDC and other health experts.

Please be advised of the following we can all do to help minimize any health risks while at work.  Also listed are the proactive steps the dealerships are taking to reduce risk:

  • Wash your hands frequently throughout the day (at least 20 seconds at a time) with warm soap and water, especially if you've been in contact with any other people or property that isn't yours.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
  • Significant amounts of hand sanitizers, latex gloves, steering wheel wraps and disinfectant wipes have been ordered and should be here by the middle of this week.  Customers will also have access to these items as they interact with employees. We recommend cleaning all desktops at least once per day.
  • Dealership management is staying in constant touch with the local health officials and the Maryland New Car and Truck Dealer Associations for updates on the situation, which is very fluid.
  • Our cleaning crew has been advised of the need to increase their diligence in cleaning surfaces throughout the facility.
The dealerships are staying open unless and until they are ordered to shut down by the government.

If you are feeling sick (with COVID-19 type symptoms), we encourage you not to come to work.  We realize that some employees can work from home and some can't. For those employees who can, we encourage you to do so and will provide assistance to provide you internet access.

For those employees with accrued sick OR vacation time, you may use either if you can not come into work as scheduled.

We will advise you immediately and will comply with these orders.  If you are the supervisor for a department, it is your responsibility to inform your employees of the Company's plans.  Please make sure you have either email or text addresses for all of your employees so that you have readily available access to them.

Thank you all for hanging in there during these difficult times.  We will be a stronger organization in the long run.
